I joined Polio Australia on 20 August 2019. I have been passionate about disability ever since my son was born with Achondroplasia (he is Short-Statured) in January 2000 and had to have his legs rebuilt when he was 5 years old. He is my inspiration. I also have a friend who is a polio survivor and have been constantly amazed about all that she has achieved in her life. As a Certified Practising Accountant, I worked in the Corporate Sector for 9 years, then made the move to the Not for Profit Sector 16 years ago and have not looked back. I am enjoying learning about more about Polio and look forward to use my experience to help Polio Australia move into the next phase of its growth.
