Have you considered donating to Polio Australia through a Workplace Giving program?
Workplace Giving is a joint relationship between employers, employees and charities. Individuals contribute a small portion of their pre-tax salary to charity and receive the tax benefit straight away rather than waiting until the end of financial year. For example, if you donate $20, it will only cost you $12.60 but the charity will receive the full $20. In most cases, employers will match staff donations, so the value of your donation will double to $40 direct to the charity of your choice.
Your small change can make a big difference. Workplace Giving is an easy way to make regular pre-tax donations from your pay. A pre-tax donation of as little as $10 per month will provide much needed support for one of our many programs.
Are you an employee interested in giving to Polio Australia but don’t know if your employer supports workplace giving? Contact your HR department about a workplace giving program or contact us directly for help.

A fun way you can support polio survivors is to hold an event with friends, classmates or work colleagues! Hold a morning tea and ask everyone to donate a plate of food and contribute funds to Polio Australia. Or, hold a puddle jumping contest (ideal for schools) and ask contestants to solicit sponsorship through our peer-to-peer fundraising platform. Our fundraising platform can also be used to support a "Walk With Me" event organised by you. The possibilities are endless! Contact us to organise your event or for more information.
Are you interested in donating goods and/or services to Polio Australia? You can donate raffle and door prizes for our events. We could also benefit from office supplies, flyer and brochure printing services, and provision of t-shirts for our annual Walk With Me events, or services such as project management, governance development, information technology or legal. Please contact us to discuss your creative ideas for support.
Do you have employees who are keen to donate their time to a good cause? Participate in a Walk With Me event and engage in peer-to-peer fundraising. Contact us for more information.
Polio Australia seeks to foster longer-term business partnerships for mutual benefit. Please contact us to discuss the possible synergy between Polio Australia and your business.
Rotary clubs have been supporting polio survivors for over 80 years. If your Rotary club or district would like to partner with Polio Australia to raise funds, or would like a polio survivor to speak at your club, please contact us.

Our annual Polio Health and Wellness Self-Management Residential Program provides polio survivors with essential information on their chronic condition and how they can actively manage their symptoms. It provides polio survivors with the knowledge and confidence to speak with health professionals about their condition and seek effective treatment. Polio survivor education is essential, as many health professionals are not aware of the Late Effects of Polio, resulting in misdiagnosis and/or inappropriate treatment.
