Polio Australia hosted their eighth annual retreat on the beautiful Glenelg Beach in South Australia. The retreat focused on ‘Body, Mind & Spirit”, encompassing a range of self-management strategies for polio survivors and their carers.

Stamford Grand Adelaide at Glenelg is one of Adelaide's premier beachside resorts. It is a 10 minute drive from the airport and a 20 minute drive from Adelaide's CBD. Located right on the beach at popular seaside suburb of Glenelg, Stamford Grand Adelaide is accessed via Jetty Road's vibrant retail 7-day trading strip.

Saturday focuses on exploring the various ways that you can keep your MIND healthy and active. Sessions include:

- Card Making

- What’s the Use of Art?

- Early Polio Memories

Sunday focuses on a variety of forms of the SPIRIT. Whether you are typically a 'spiritual' person or not - this day is about learning something new and keeping an open mind. Sessions include:

- Plenary: What makes your whole body light up?

- Dreamtime, Art, and Aboriginal Spirituality

- Introduction to Buddhism

- Finding God in Christianity
