On Wednesday 31st October 2012, 60 polio survivors and their supporters from around Australia self-funded their attendance at the “We’re Still Here!” Campaign at Parliament House in Canberra, organised by Polio Australia. The “We’re Still Here!” campaigners definitely made their presence felt and succeeded in raising overall awareness of the needs of Australia’s polio survivors with their respective Members of Parliament (MPs).
